Making Your Own Natural Ayurvedic Anti-Wrinkle Skin Cream

Mix the following ingredients together for a wrinkle-preventing moisturizer:68

  • 2 Tbs. Aloe vera gel
  • 3 oz. of appropriate oil for skin type (see below)
  • 1 oz. cocoa butter or lanolin
  • 2 oz. rose water

For normal skin use almond oil. Sesame oil is recommended for dry skin types, while rice bran oil or ghee is used for mature skin. If you are prone to acne use jojoba oil.68

Heat all ingredients to a warm temperature (the gel and water separate from the oil and butter) and then use a blender to whip. Add essential oils used for wrinkles (e.g., lavender or rose) during blending. 1,68

Experts recommend using moisturizer after washing, including right before bedtime. To make a richer moisturizer for nighttime, use less aloe gel and add vitamin A and vitamin E oils. 68
